Biography
Mohammed bin Abdullah 
Al-Jadaan,
Minister of Finance, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

Education
He has a degree in Islamic sharia, specialty Islamic economics, from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University and a degree in legal studies from the Institute of Public Administration in Riyadh.

Career outside Government
• Co-founder in AlJadaan and partners law firm in cooperation with Clifford Chance. 1995- 2015.
Specializing in commercial law, finance and financial market transactions. He led a team of lawyers in the provision of legal services and contracts in many transactions and partnerships in the sectors of energy, petrochemicals, metals, water desalination, privatization and partnership between the public and private sectors and financing projects and initial proposals in the stock markets, bonds and sukuk.
• Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration, 2014 - 2015.
• Member of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, 2014 - 2015.
• Member of the Advisory Committee of the Capital Market Authority, 2013- 2015 
• Member of the Lawyers Committee Commercial and Industrial Chamber, 2013 - 2015.
• Member of the Advisory Committee of the Supreme Economic Council, 2009 - 2015.
• Member of the Saudi Arbitrators registered at the Saudi Ministry of Justice until 2015

Career in Government
He was appointed Chairman of the Capital Markets Authority on 29 January 2015, until he was appointed Minister of Finance on 1 November 2016.
He was appointed Acting Minister of Economy and Planning March 2020 - May 2021​.

Personal Life
He is married with two sons and one daughter and lives in Riyadh.

Minister of Finance
The Minister of Finance is responsible for developing effective financial policies and managing financial resources to achieve economic growth stability, financial sustainability, increasing spending efficiency Through effective governance and strengthening partnerships with the private sector; as well as supporting the Kingdom’s influence on the regional and international financial community.

- Governor of the Kingdom at the Infrastructure Investment Asian Bank, from 2016 to date.

- Member of the Board of Governors of the World Bank, from 2016 to date
- Head of the Saudi side in the Saudi-German Joint Committee, from 2016 to date.

- Head of the Kingdom’s delegation to the meetings of finance ministers and central bank governors of the G20, from 2016 to date.
