On Monday, October 10, 2022, the Financial Sub-committee of the High-level Chinese-Saudi Joint Committee held its second meeting via video conferencing, chaired by the Assistant Minister of Finance for Macro-Fiscal Policies and International Affairs, Abdulmuhsen Alkhalaf, and the Chinese Vice Minister of Finance, Mr. Wang Dongwei, with the participation of a number of officials from the Saudi and Chinese sides.

The meeting discussed several topics, including macroeconomic conditions and policies, financial and economic cooperation, in addition to investment in infrastructure, and cooperation between financial institutions.

Both side stressed on enhancing the joint and fruitful cooperation within multilateral foras, including the G20, the IMF, the World Bank Group,  and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.​
