With the participation of the Saudi Assistant Minister of Finance for Macro-Fiscal Policies and International Relations, Mr. Abdullah A. BinZaraah, the Saudi Ministry of Finance organized a workshop entitled "Climate Change Policies in A Changing World," In the presence of a delegation of faculties, post-graduate students from King Saud University, and Al-Faisal University, and with the participation of researchers and experts from the Ministry of Energy, the National Debt Management Center (NDMC), and King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC).

In his opening speech, Assistant Minister BinZaraah stressed that the workshop was designed to share and exchange knowledge on climate change challenges, policies designed to deal with them at the local and international levels, and developments in the global agenda in this field, as well as to present the Kingdom's perspective and efforts on facing these challenges.

During the workshop, Ministry of Finance specialists presented the scientific foundation of climate change and relevant international agreements, while speakers from MoE and KAPSARC talked about global policy perspectives, climate finance policies, and the Circular Carbon Economy Approach, highlighting its role in supporting emission reduction pathways in line with national priorities.

​On the financial front, experts from NDMC presented Saudi Arabia Green Finance Framework, issued in March 2024, which aim to encourage public and private sector initiatives in climate and environmental finance.
