Saudi Minister of Finance Concludes Participation at 2026 World Economic Forum

1/25/2026

Excellency the Saudi Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan, concluded his participation as a member of the Saudi delegation at the 2026 World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting, which was held in the Swiss city of Davos 19-23 January 2026, under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue."

As part of the Saudi House initiative's pavilion, Minister Aljadaan participated in a session entitled “From Reform to Delivery: Executing Change at Scale," where he said that true reform is not measured by speed or early wins, but rather whether it becomes permanent—changing how institutions and markets behave.

In a second session, entitled “Economies of the Future Fast-Forward to 2050," Minister Aljadaan noted that global economies must begin now to prepare and complete their structural reforms in order to meet the requirements of the future economy, amid current challenges and prevailing uncertainty.

Minister Aljadaan said at the session “A Check-In on the Saudi Economy" that visitors to the Kingdom will feel a strong, positive energy. He explained that the people themselves radiate this spirit, as they believe in this journey and witnessing its impact.

At the conclusion of the Forum, Minister Aljadaan participated in the session “Global Economic Outlook," where he noted that countries around the world need to support existing institutions, such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, which enjoy greater recognition and trust than before. He added, “We need to enhance dialogue and cooperation by embracing global dialogue platforms such as the World Economic Forum."
