The Saudi Ministry of Finance participated in the meetings of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB) held in Accra, Ghana, 15-17 September 2026, with a delegation headed by the Assistant Deputy Minister for Accounts Policies and Governance, Mr. Abdullah AlHomaida. Ministry staff attended the event because it fits within the framework of the Kingdom's continued presence and active participation in the work of the Council, and the discussions related to the development of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards.

The meeting participants discussed a number of professional topics and projects, including the standards for the disclosure of sustainability information, valuation updates on intangible assets, in addition to the Council's strategy, which contributes to the development of accounting practices and helps the Ministry keep pace with emerging topics in the public sector.

The Ministry's participation is an extension of the Kingdom's efforts to enhance its presence in international professional forums, exchange experiences and knowledge, and contribute to discussions related to the development and formulation of International Public Sector Accounting Standards.​
