The Saudi Ministry of Finance organized on November 10, 2025 an event to celebrate the International Accounting Day in Riyadh, which brought together its employees and Saudi university students, seeking to strengthen communication, exchange experiences, and highlight the professional and digital transformation in government accounting.

The program included a panel discussion entitled “The Accountant's Journey: From the Classroom to the Decision-Making Table," at which several Ministry employees shared their professional experiences, emphasizing the evolving role of accountants—from performing traditional tasks to becoming active contributors in financial decision-making and promoting transparency.

The event also featured a workshop entitled “The Government Accountant in the Era of Professional and Digital Transformation," which explored the key aspects of digital transformation in government accounting, the role of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in advancing financial operations, and ways to empower government accountants to keep pace with rapid professional and technological developments.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to empower the next generation of accounting professionals and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to help build an integrated financial ecosystem that supports fiscal sustainability and advances the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Ministry said that it organized this event as part of its efforts to enhance partnerships between the government, financial sector and academic institutions, in order to help improve the efficiency of educational outcomes by linking them to practical applications and supporting the next generation of accountants. These activities were part of efforts to help keep pace with future skill requirements in this area—in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.​
