The Ministry of Finance organized the fifth edition of the “Saudi Tour," held on the sidelines of the announcement of the State Budget for the fiscal year 2026. The event welcomed a number of prominent investors and representatives of leading global financial institutions during the period 29 November – 4 December 2025,The tour aimed to highlight the comprehensive national transformation underway in the Kingdom under Saudi Vision 2030 and to showcase the major projects that embody the leadership's vision for building a thriving economy, a vibrant society, and an ambitious nation.
The tour concluded within the activities of the Budget Forum 2026, with the participation of His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan and His Excellency the Vice Minister of Finance Mr. Abdulmuhsen Alkhalaf. Participants reviewed the Kingdom's efforts to enhance fiscal efficiency, stimulate economic growth, and enable global investment partnerships, reflecting the Ministry's pivotal role in supporting Vision 2030 objectives and advancing sustainable financial policies.
The tour serves as a window that reveals to the world the scale of achievements the Kingdom has realized in a short period, demonstrating its ability to balance economic advancement with the preservation of cultural and environmental identity. The projects showcased throughout the tour underscore the Kingdom's commitment to accelerating development, diversifying the economy, and attracting high-value investments—reinforcing its position as a leading economic power regionally and globally.
The tour embodied the Kingdom's spirit of collaboration and openness with its international partners, highlighting its tangible progress in tourism, industry, infrastructure, sustainability, education, and culture.
Beginning in the Eastern Province, participants explored major developmental projects in energy, industry, and infrastructure, including visits to the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra), Aramco Stadium, Saudi Water Partnership Company projects, and MODON industrial cities. The visit emphasized the region's vital role as a key driver of industrial growth and a hub for innovation and sustainability.
The delegation then traveled to AlUla, where they experienced exceptional models of cultural and heritage tourism, including Ashar Valley, Elephant Rock, and Maraya. These destinations present a world-class example that harmonizes authenticity and modernity, reflecting the Kingdom's efforts to preserve human heritage while developing tourism in a sustainable manner.
The tour continued to the Red Sea projects, home to one of the world's leading eco-tourism models. Participants viewed recent developments in The Red Sea International project, in addition to learning about the company's initiatives in sustainable hospitality, clean energy, and the integration of advanced technologies in coastal destination development.
In Riyadh, the capital, the tour featured visits to several major projects that blend heritage with modernity—positioning the city as a global center of contemporary life enriched with historical depth. Key stops included Historic Diriyah, Boulevard World, King Salman Park, Riyadh Metro, The Garage, and Qiddiya. The tour also highlighted the efforts of the Riyadh Green Initiative in advance environmental sustainability and enhance quality of life.
