His Excellency the Saudi Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan, will head the Kingdom's delegation at the World Bank Group (WBG) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) 2025 Annual Meetings, to be held October 13-18, 2025 in Washington, D.C., United States.
The Saudi Delegation will include: H.E. the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), Mr. Ayman Alsayari; the Saudi Assistant Minister of Finance for Macro-Fiscal Policies and International Relations, Eng. Abdullah A. BinZaraah; the Deputy Chair of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), Dr. Ryadh Alkhareif; the Deputy Minister of Finance for International Affairs, Mr. Khalid Bawazier; the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Mr. Sultan Almarshad; the CEO of the National Debt Management Center (NDMC), Mr. Hani Almedaini; SAMA's Assistant Governor for Monetary Affairs Mr. Talal Al-Homoud; SAMA's Deputy Governor for Payments Mr. Abdulaziz Abanmi; and experts from the Ministry of Finance, SAMA, SFD, NDMC, and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).
During these meetings, H.E. Aljadaan and H.E. Alsayari will participate in the Fourth G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) Meeting, held under the South African Presidency. The FMCBG meeting aims to foster in-depth discussion on key developments in the global economy, as well as discuss ways to enhance global cooperation to address challenges in the global economy.
H.E. Aljadaan will also participate in the World Bank Group (WBG) Governor's Development Committee meeting to discuss the latest updates in the WBG's development strategies, including its role in helping to create jobs as a key economic driver, enabling the private sector, and supporting countries in reforming policies that attract investments and promote economic growth.
In addition, H.E. Aljadaan will chair the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) meeting, where members will exchange views on developments in the global economy, including growth prospects and emerging risks. Discussions will cover global economic policy priorities and the IMF's role in addressing these challenges through financial assistance, advice, and capacity-development for members.
The Annual Meetings serve as a global platform that brings together finance ministers, central bankers, senior officials from international organizations, private sector executives, representatives from civil society organizations, and academics to discuss global issues, including the global economy, sustainable development, poverty eradication, and other economic and financial topics.
