 Ministry of Finance Launches Etimad - the Digital Services Platform

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 20 January 2018: Tomorrow his Excellency Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan will officially launch Etimad, the new online platform for government entities and private sector contractors, in line with the Ministry of Finance’s strategy to enable and improve the efficiency of government entities to realize the objectives of Vision 2030
The launch will be held on 21st January 2017 at the APEX Convention Center, part of the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center located on King Khalid International Airport Road in Riyadh. Several Ministers, and officials from both government and private sector will also be present. 
Etimad is a unified digital services platform that allows government entities and private sector contractors to make full use of the Ministry of Finance's advanced procurement e-services, enhancing the speed of process, ensuring accuracy of data and increasing the ease of doing business, in a way that reflects the Ministry of Finance's values of transparency, commitment, partnership, and fulfilment.
Mr. Ahmed Al-Suwayan, Deputy Minister of Technology and Development for the Ministry of Finance, commented: “The launch of Etimad is an important step towards improving the digitalization of government transactions, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030. The platform will ensure effective communication between the Ministry and public and private sector contractors. It will also boost transparency, improve performance efficiency, and minimize the administrative and procedural delays between the Ministry of Finance and the beneficiaries in many areas, including budget management, vendor selection, and contract and payments management.” The platform was established in co-operation with THIQAH Business Services and Saudi Electronic Info Exchange Company (Tabadul).
