Saudi Minister of Finance, H.E. Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan, headed the Kingdom's delegation participating in the 125th meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which was held virtually on Thursday, May 14, 2026. It was chaired by Minister of Finance and National Economy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Shaikh Salman Al Khalifa, with the participation of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Finance of the GCC countries and His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
During the meeting, Their Excellencies reviewed many topics related to enhancing financial and economic cooperation including, progress achieved in GCC Customs Union, the adoption of the Gulf Joint Market Committee (2026-2028) action plan, and the guidelines of GCC participation in international events. The meeting also discussed regional developments, their potential implications and impact on the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as well as ways to strengthen joint coordination in addressing them.
