The Saudi Minister of Finance, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan, headed the Kingdom's delegation participating in the 126th Meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held October 1, 2026, in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Finance and National Economy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Shaikh Salman Al Khalifa, with the participation of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Finance of the GCC countries and His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

During the meeting, the Ministers reviewed a number of topics related to strengthening financial and economic cooperation, including progress achieved in the GCC Customs Union, and the adoption of the Periodic Report on Monitoring the Progress of the Gulf Common Market. The Ministers also discussed regional developments and their potential implications for GCC countries, as well as ways to strengthen joint coordination in addressing them.

 Minister Aljadaan also participated in the joint meeting between the finance ministers and central bank governors of the GCC countries and the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Ms. Kristalina Georgieva. The meeting participants discussed an IMF paper titled “Economic Prospects and Policy Challenges: Enhancing Economic Resilience to Geopolitical Shocks".​
